    Bangladeshi worker killed in Fujairah after drone interception debris hits farm

    An expat has been killed in an incident involving falling debris on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.

    A successful interception of a drone by UAE air defence forces resulted in debris falling on a farm in Fujairah. The incident resulted in the death of a Bangladeshi expat.

    This brings the total death toll in the UAE since the beginning of the US-Israel-Iran war to 12. Most of the fatalities have been caused by falling debris after interceptions. Among the deceased were two members of the armed forces who died while performing their duty, as well as a Moroccan civilian contracted by the armed forces.

    The other nine who died were of Pakistani, Nepali, Bangladeshi, Palestinian and Indian nationalities.

    On Tuesday, UAE authorities said that the total number of individuals injured since the start of the war is 188. Air defence forces dealt with 12 missiles and 36 UAVs on that day.
