Nearly 300 motorcycles set off from Dubai to Ras Al Khaimah last Sunday morning, as bikers from across the UAE united to promote a message of peace and unity.

Organised by World of Bikers (WoB), the rally brought together riders from over 45 motorcycle clubs, along with several solo riders. Many participants were joined by their families, with some riding alongside their wives and children.

“We had a little less than 300 bikes, but many riders came with passengers. So the total number of people was even higher,” said Victor King, founder of WoB.

Participants began gathering at around 5.30am near Cityland Mall in Dubai. The group set off at 6.30am, riding in a single lane along Emirates Road (E611), following safety protocols. With minimal traffic at that hour, the convoy completed the 110-kilometre journey non-stop, reaching Marjan Island between 7.45am and 8am.

The rally, however, was more than just a group ride. “With everything going on around us, I wanted riders to come together for a cause,” said King. “When that many bikes ride together, people notice. Our message was simple: ride for peace.”

The long line of motorcycles created a strong visual along the highway, reflecting the diversity of the biking community. Riders from different nationalities and backgrounds took part, united by a shared purpose.

At Marjan Island, participants gathered for a community breakfast, giving them time to interact and connect after the ride.

The event also included an experiential element. A newly launched motorcycle brand, Souo Motors, partnered with the rally by sponsoring breakfast and bringing a few of its latest bikes for test rides.

“Usually, riders stick to their own brands. But here, they could try something new. People really enjoyed that,” said King.

Safety support was also arranged for the ride. A Dubai-based rental company, Rider’s Choice, provided a support vehicle equipped with a mechanic and the capacity to transport motorcycles in case of breakdowns.

“The entire community came together for this. We had over 45 motorcycle groups and many solo riders joining,” King added.

After breakfast, riders began heading back in smaller groups from around 9.30am onwards, depending on their schedules. Organisers stayed back until all participants had safely departed.

King, who has been in the UAE for over 27 years and has more than 35 years of riding experience, said the idea for World of Bikers started as a simple WhatsApp group last year and has now grown to over 680 members.

For him, the rally reflected the deeper spirit of the biking community.

“It’s not just about machines,” he said. “It’s about people coming together. When we ride together, we understand each other better.”
