    Oil falls as US crude inventories rise

    BEIJING, 16th September, 2026 (WAM) — Oil prices fell in early Asian trading on Wednesday after an unexpected build in US crude inventories, while investors assessed supply risks.

    Brent crude futures fell 93 cents, or 0.86 percent, to US$107.82 a barrel at 00:28 GMT, while US West Texas Intermediate crude futures were down 97 cents, or 0.92 percent, at US$104.86 a barrel.

    Both benchmarks settled more than US$3 higher on Tuesday, reaching their highest levels since 19th May.
