DUBAI, 9th May, 2026 (WAM) — Dubai Police and the UAE Cycling Federation have discussed enhancing joint cooperation and expanding strategic sports partnerships in support of mutual institutional objectives. The discussions took place during a meeting between Engineer Mansoor Bu Osaiba, Chairman of the UAE Cycling Federation, and a delegation from Dubai Police headed by Brigadier Dr Jassim Mohammad Abdullah, Deputy Director of the General Department of Training. An Indian crew member has died, and four others have been injured following a fire on board a wooden dhow at sea close to the Strait of Hormuz, the Consulate General of India in Dubai confirmed. Dubai Police have warned motorists to adhere to traffic laws in a video shared on X. “A split-second decision can have serious consequences,” an officer said in the video, emphasising that a pedestrian crossing is the most important road marking.
