Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah (UOS), has directed that scholarships be allocated to the top-performing high school graduates of the 2025–2026 academic year from all educational streams across the UAE, enabling them to pursue their university studies at the UOS. ABU DHABI, 10th July, 2026 (WAM) — Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) today announced the restart of alumina production at Al Taweelah alumina refinery in Abu Dhabi. Alumina production is expected to ramp-up to 50 percent of plant capacity within days. EGA expects to have the technical capability to ramp-up to full alumina production by the end of this year.
