A national programme designed to create 5,000 industrial jobs for Emiratis by 2027 has surpassed its target a year ahead of schedule, with more than 5,200 opportunities generated since its launch. A newborn baby was safely rescued after a fire broke out in a residential apartment in Sharjah’s Al Nasseriya area early Friday morning, with no injuries reported. Seven people were killed and nine others injured after a minibus crashed into a truck that had stopped in the middle of Emirates Road in Dubai, police said.
