    Sweden beat Tunisia 5-1 in World Cup opener

    MEXICO CITY, 15th June, 2026 (WAM) — Sweden defeated Tunisia 5-1 today at Monterrey Stadium in Mexico in the opening match for both teams in Group F of the FIFA World Cup 2026.

    With the result, Sweden moved to the top of the group with three points, benefiting from the 2-2 draw between the Netherlands and Japan in the other Group F match.
