NEW YORK, 23rd August, 2026 (WAM) — Nvidia is preparing to raise prices for its artificial intelligence servers by more than 15 percent for systems scheduled to begin shipping early next year, following a sharp rise in memory chip costs. SHARJAH, 25th August, 2026 (WAM) — Sharjah Airport recorded a significant surge in passenger traffic during the week of 10 to 16 August. The Airport welcomed more than 390,000 passengers during what is considered the peak of the summer travel season, as travellers returned from their holidays ahead of the new academic year. Arriving passengers at Sharjah Airport exceeded 175,000, while departing passengers totalled approximately 151,000, with more than 66,000 transit passengers also recorded in the same period. WELLINGTON, 24th August, 2026 (WAM) — The New Zealand government on Monday announced plans to ban social media for children under 16. The bill would require social media platforms the government deemed “high risk” to take reasonable steps to check that users are over 16 by using existing account information, facial age estimation, digital ID services and formal ID. The law would cover platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, YouTube and X.
