TOKYO, 17th June, 2026 (WAM) — Japan’s core machinery orders rose 8.7 percent in April from the previous month after seasonal adjustment thanks to robust orders related to semiconductors, government data showed on Wednesday. Core machinery orders totalled $6.84 billion in April on a seasonally adjusted basis, according to the Cabinet Office. Analysts had expected a 1.2 percent increase after orders fell 9.4 percent in March.
