BEIJING, 16th June, 2026 (WAM) — China’s value-added industrial output increased by 5.4 percent year-on-year in the first five months of 2026, official data showed today. Meanwhile, home prices in China’s four first-tier cities — Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen — rose in May compared to the previous month, according to official data. As the first month of the Islamic calendar — Muharram — is set to begin for the lunar year 1448 AH, the crescent was spotted by the UAE’s Astronomy Centre during daytime on Monday, June 15. Private healthcare facilities in the UAE must now allocate half of their annual Emiratisation target to specialised healthcare roles, under a new amendment announced by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation. Under the new requirement, healthcare facilities must ensure that jobs allocated to UAE citizens are split equally between specialised healthcare professions and other skilled roles within the facility.
